Slovak is spoken by around 5.40 million people around the world. Slovakian, and Hungarian markets, for example, might be expected to use Slovak in business and daily communications, at least ot some extent.

Less than a quarter of the population speaks Slovak in Czech Republic, 107 thousand people in total.

Writing

The Slovak alphabet is used for writing the Slovak language. Being a subset of the Latin script, it uses some non-standard characters like á, ä, č, ď, overall 16 symbols.
